Last summer, as the pharmaceutical research firm ICON plc of Dublin, Ireland was nearing completion of their newly renovated Philadelphia office, an unanticipated “condition of approval” from the Board of Health appeared on the construction punch list. The design for the lobby included a Starbuck’s coffee stand and the Board of Health required a canopy to be added over the barista stand.
After staff and patients complained of intense sunlight streaming into the West Valley Center in San Jose, the Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation contacted Transformit for an interior shade solution. The assignment was to provide shade without completely blocking the light, and to be visually appealing at the same time. Wavy rose tinted panels were the final choice of the client.
Some fire sprinklers in the facility had to be moved in order to accommodate the installation. Transformit's crew worked alongside the sprinkler contractor to get the work done in one weekend. Both the owner and employees were very pleased with the result.

In July 2010, art director Caleb Brown asked us to help design a new exhibit for The North Face at Outdoor Retailer, a twice-yearly industry show in Salt Lake City. For years, The North Face had exhibited privately, in meeting rooms away from the main show floor. New management wanted to rejoin the activity on the show floor, and to invite the entire show audience to experience The North Face.

In May of 2008, a new museum about Woodstock and the Sixties opened in Bethel, NY on the site of the 1969 Woodstock festival. Designed by Gallagher & Associates, the museum features artifacts, interactive displays and never-before-seen film footage. The New York Times called it "... a tie-dyed time machine that puts those iconic three days of peace, love and music into historical context."

"Crustacean Avengers" Win First Prize at Red Bull FLUGTAG Chicago. In early September, a team of theatrical, fanatical flight enthusiasts calling themselves the "Crustacean Avengers" took part in the Red Bull FLUGTAG (German for "Fly Day"), on Chicago's Lake Michigan waterfront. 29 teams, chosen by Red Bull from hundreds of applicants, competed.
Christina Senechal pilots the team's aircraft to a smooth, wet landing after a flight of 120 feet, by far the longest of the day. She is followed into the lake by four cheering Maine lobsters. Photo courtesy of Red Bull.
