With thousands of attendees, hundreds of vendors, and a veritable sea of colorful and engaging exhibitor displays, the floor of a trade show can be an overwhelming place to spend a day. Sometimes it’s nice to simply have a quiet space in the midst of the hub-bub for a short pause or relaxed conversation. For the Boston Society of Architects' ABX 2016 show at the Boston Convention Center, Transformit created just such a space for the attendees. We brought a Big Hug room from our Love collection. Lined with an acoustical fabric, the Big Hug creates a quiet room. ABX 2016 decorated the room with seating from a line of custom modular furniture and created a relaxed ‘reading room’ for show attendees. The Hug, which comes in two sizes, and the Legato, are popular with architects and event producers who are looking to create small intimate spaces in the midst of larger open rooms.
