Starry-er Star Drops

Our partner in Spain, Matias Gravenhorst of Magrada Proyectos, sent these photos of a recent installation he designed for Aetna, the US health insurance company.

The theme for the event, held in the great hall of the Museu Nacional D'art de Catalunya, Barcelona, and produced by Spaintacular, was a night scene in Spain. What better way to evoke the night than with 25 Star Drops (5 large, 5 medium and 15 small), all suspended from the nearly invisible truss above?

Matias was looking for more impact to his design, and experimented with placing LEDs and fluorescent lights inside the Star Drops. The budget won the battle, and fluorescents were used in these pictures.
