Brewer School Art Commission

Shown is the model of Cindy Thompson's winning proposal, to be installed in the entry atrium of the recently completed Brewer Community School, located in Brewer, ME.

Entitled “Penobscot Power”, the piece portrays five key historic drivers of the Penobscot River's economy: paper, ice, brick, river and marine. The atrium is viewable from below, as well as from windows surrounding the 2nd floor level.
