Love Really Counts

We at Transformit are again proud to have sponsored “Love Really Counts”, the Center for Grieving Children's annual Auction and Dinner Gala. Russ Pooler with Headlight AV, inspired by the heart in the Center's logo and by the event title,“Love Really Counts”, used Tremolos -placed on their sides- to create heart-shaped backdrops for the silent auction items. Two Crescents arranged in the shape of a heart formed the portal through which attendees entered the dining room. Once inside, suspended Star Drops created a starry ceiling under which dancers from the Portland Ballet entertained the guests.

This event raised $230,000 for the Center (their largest fundraising effort), whose programs support children and their families, as well as other young people, who are coping with the pain and challenges of loss and change. The center delivers community-wide grief education, training, and crisis response to schools, workplaces, and other organizations. The center recruits, trains, and supports the many devoted volunteers who form the core of this outstanding model of peer grief support.
