The Aztec Eye

The Aztec Eye provided a dramatic international look for Valor Symphonic’s “Around the World in 80 Minutes” spring concert in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.  It served as the top of a high-style hot-air balloon making its virtual journey as the student orchestra performed selections from around the world.  The sections of the lighting fixture also served as screens to show travel videos during transitions.  “We got more comments and complements on the Aztec Eye than probably any other production set or lighting plan that we have designed,” commented Nancy Columbia, arts coordinator for Valor Christian High School. “It was a wonderful highlight to two different events we performed over our two-week lease.”

The client was very creative in using our online catalog, and asked if we could use just 2 of the 4 pieces that make up the Aztec Star (click on the drawing to the right) and put an 8' Circle Flat in the center to create the Aztec Eye.  If you are interested in renting this piece, please contact tnewhall@transformit.com for details.
