Event
Event designers look at space as their medium…at a venue as a mere canvas on which to paint their client’s picture. They are always exploring materials, seeking that sweet spot where aesthetics and structural integrity connect. Working with fabric structures and with Transformit, that sweet spot is easily achieved…whether you are working with a tensioned free-form fabric car reveal or a collection of large-scale extrusion and fabric walls and columns. The pieces are all designed by a sculptor, and have their own structural integrity, individually or in combination with each other. For example, the Laureus “chandelier” is composed of elements conceived of as individual free-standing walls. The entry-flanking blooms were originally designed as part of a large hanging composition in an atrium. Lighting designers are perfect partners for Transformit’s fabric works…they complete the works through their understanding of how the event experience is influenced by dynamic color and changes – from the event entry to the bar and dining areas, and the show. Their lighting (color and images) helps create the story of the event. |
