Matt Rawdon
Vice President of Marketing
Matt grew up in Southern California, land of urban sprawl and smog. He earned a BA from Amherst College where he “learned to read and write.” Matt returned to California after graduating, where he started a new bicycle shop specializing in BMX bikes and early mountain bikes. This was his business school! After selling the bike shop, Matt relocated to Seattle where he bought into a small exhibit design/ build firm. Twenty years of entertainment and learning followed, with notable experiences designing for Swatch Watch, AT&T Wireless, Weyerhaeuser, and Starbucks.
Along the way, a few themes have appeared again and again: a preference for minimalism and clarity in design and communication, an enduring interest in low-power and human-power transportation, concern and interest in creating (designing) sustainable living situations, and a commitment to ethical and caring business practices.
Matt is a committed father and husband, and a lifelong cyclist. He sings tenor with two choirs, and volunteers his time and skills on various school projects, as well as with Ingraham.
