Ship mobile

In New England, traditional restaurants and public spaces in maritime communities often display hand-carved half-models of sailing ships, or ship models in showcases.
Faulkner & Locke, art consultants of the Hyatt Place Boston/ Seaport Hotel, took a much less traditional approach to the maritime art pieces that decorate its public spaces.

Arriving visitors are greeted by this large sculpture suspended above the grand lobby staircase. The sculpture is a deconstructed view of a container ship’s multiple levels, naval architectural drawings brought to life.

Social Screens

When COVID arrived last March, the first thing Transformit thought of was how will all of the restaurants in Portland survive without the space needed for safe social distancing. Rolling walls seemed like a good idea to augment the actual distance with a fabric barrier.

Ocean Lights

Ocean Properties Ballroom

When designing the Hutchinson Shores Resort and Spa in Jensen Beach, Florida, the architects and designers at TruexCullins Architecture + Interior Design drew inspiration from the resort’s seaside location. Indoor Shade for Comfort | Palo Alto Medical Foundation

After staff and patients complained of intense sunlight streaming into the West Valley Center in San Jose, the Sutter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation contacted Transformit for an interior shade solution. The assignment was to provide shade without completely blocking the light, and to be visually appealing at the same time. Wavy rose tinted panels were the final choice of the client.

Some fire sprinklers in the facility had to be moved in order to accommodate the installation. Transformit's crew worked alongside the sprinkler contractor to get the work done in one weekend. Both the owner and employees were very pleased with the result.
